Song that goes well with the picture: "Let's Impeach the President" by Neil Young. It's one of his new songs, and it criticises Bush. As a result, some Conservatives (*coughstephencolbertcough*)* were talking about it.
I've wanted to draw this picture for a while. My gallery needs picutures with some humour in it. I also wanted to draw gift-art for a couple of deviants, two of them being Kat (=itainohime) and Becca (~holidame). Why? It's because they rock...hard! If you're into poetry and prose, you would sure love Kat's wits. Not only are her works detailed, but they make you think. Hell, one of her essays helped me learn more about American politics. I used to question my political views (I was surrounded by both Conservative and distorted Liberal ideals); it went up to the point where I withdrew from politics and became indifferent for a little while. If it weren't for "Unpatriot," I wouldn't have opened my eyes. Now, I'm a strong liberal, regardless of the people I befriend. Becca is the more artistic-minded person. She's more into 3D art, portraits, yaoi and yuri art and/or fanart; etc. She's the type who wouldn't be disgusted by non-heterosexual pairings, and I totally appreciate that. In real life, all the little fangirls want to fuck InuYasha, Sessomaru, or Alucard, but yaoi and yuri is too "disturbing" for their little minds (because they're all whiny bitches XD). These two women are strong, liberal, and queer. What else could I ask for?! In real life, people accuse me of having high standards, but it is enough to find people who can empathise with me. Not only that, but I could learn from them. They go through things I've never gone through. I'm just a fifteen-year old who still lives with her family and never had a relationship (dating). I dedicate this picture to them, because they are real thinkers. I rarely find an average Americans who is strong enough to admire or criticise Bush's antics, without giving profound reasons to support it. You would only see that in pundits, best-selling authors, and talk-show hosts. All I can say is this: Someday, we'll be the winners. We have the power, because we're not alone.(Whoo......long rant!) The picture took me a while to do. I made a couple of mistakes (e.g. necks, sombre look, etc.), but I managed to make a nice job. The ladies in it are Kat (woman with short hair) and Becca (woman with long hair). I made the lineart with a 0.5mm lead pencil, a No.2 HB pencil, and a Bic ballpoint pen. I coloured it with Crayola and Prismacolour markers; Prang and Prismacolour coloured pencils, a blue Crayola coloured pencil, and white-out. Kat (herself) © Becca (herself) © Art © Arlene Marie Clear (my wonderful penname)- 2006 * The part with the asterisk was an ironic situation. Mr. Colbert is an amazing satirist. |

This guy comes up to me "Hey, I need ten bucks." I'm all "The hell is your problem? You see this sketchbook? See this? I spent my food money for the next week on this! It was three dollars!" *vicas-fawx
